Sierra Hull Announces Winter 2018 Tour
Featuring Select Special Guest Appearances
By Eddie Barbash and Christian Sedelmyer

(Nashville, TN) December 7, 2017 - Singer-songwriter Sierra Hull will be bringing her genre-transending brand of music on tour this winter with stops across the east and west coasts.

The reigning two-time International Bluegrass Music Association’s mandolin player of the year is consistently pushing boundaries beyond bluegrass, chamber, and pop music - this is original music from a true virtuoso. Hull's 2016 GRAMMY- nominated album Weighted Mind was hailed as a “stunning coming of age album” byNPR Music and topped Billboard’s Bluegrass Album chart.

This leg of her tour stands out from her recent performances as it features select appearances by saxophonist Eddie Barbash known for his work with Jon Batiste and Stay Human, the house band for Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and fiddler Christian Sedelmyer an in-demand sideman for Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill, and Jerry Douglas, among others. Scott Mulvahill and Phoebe Hunt will also take turns joining Hull as opening acts on this tour. Mulvahill has shared the stage with some of the greatest names in modern music including Alison Krauss, Barry Gibb of the BeeGees, Brad Paisley, and Peter Frampton, while Hunt is an accomplished Americana instrumentalist with foundations in jazz and swing music, having made an impressive creative leap with her latest record – the culmination of a five year journey that has taken her from her Austin roots through Music Row, Brooklyn, and even to India to study with seventh-generation master violinist Kala Ramnath.

Hull says, "I can’t wait for this winter tour! Guest musicians Eddie Barbash & Christian Sedelmyer will be joining us on select dates. Ethan and I have spent the last year touring as a duo, so adding a third musician for some of these shows is going to be really fresh and exciting. In addition, Scott Mulvahill and Phoebe Hunt will be going on the road with us as openers. They are two of my favorite musicians and people, so I’m thrilled to have them on board!"

Hull will be playing all dates with bassist Ethan Jodziewicz. Stops include Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Portland. A full list of tour dates is below.
