Sierra,
Just learned of you today - a friend of mine shared an Alison Krause recording with me which I enjoyed; checking out some of her songs led me to you!
Best wishes with your music and acting, and hope to hear you perform live some day!! Maybe Mayville or Shelter Island if I can arrange to be one of those places. I enjoyed hearing you sing "Steel Rails," and look forward to hearing more!

Hi Sierra, and blessings on you and yours from California. I've been a fan of great music for all of my life although I never had the opportunity to develop any skills to play myself. The most heartwarming and miraculous thing to me has always been the talent of a young person who has been touched by God's hand, and you are by far the most incredibly blessed and inspiring spirit I have seen. I have been on youtube almost daily to watch you play and I well up every time I see the ovation you recieved at the opry concert with Alison.I am looking forward to sharing your talent with my young grandchildren soon and to have them see God's hand at work in your life.I sure hope you will be able to play in California sometime in the future. Many of us are thanking God for his gift to you and for your willingness to share it with us.
God Bless you.

I just wanted to congratulate you on your new album coming out and being in the Billy Graham movie. I remember when you brought your mandolin to 4th grade. The class and I enjoyed it so much. Mrs. Suiter and I told you we thought you would be on the Opry some day. You have done that and so much more. I am proud to say that one of my former students has accomplished so much. Good luck in all your future musical endeavors!

Sierra,
As a mom of a 11 yr. old fiddler, thanks so much for being a great role model for young people in bluegrass. Please stay as you are, and above all else, keep God first! Can't wait to hear your new CD and we hope to see you in person someday!
God Bless,
Sherry

Below is the brand new and comprehensive article on the Merlefest Music Festival that I wrote for Gritz Music Magazine. It is an all encompassing piece, covering the stories of Doc and Merle Watson and the origins of the festival, and previews the upcoming Merlefest 2008. But, it also goes indepth about Merlefest 2007, using those exceptional performances from last year to showcase what is special about this event. Sierra and the band are featured in the story.

Sadly to say I had never heard of you until today when I picked up the Tennessean. I decided to listen on You Tube. I was blown away with your talent! I am looking forward to the Billy Graham movie later this year. You are blessed with a beautiful talent!
