I had the pleasure to spend time with this young lady and her friend Cory. What a wonderful weekend! It is really neat to see a rose just as it is about to bloom. Always, Jay and Tereasa Forbes

Hi Sierra!
Congrats! on an incredible feat of making the Top 5 Mandolin Players of the Year. At your age, as well! I did not get to see or here the awards yet, but will. The release said that you would be one of the presenters, as well as, a nominee - another Honor. I saw that it definitely was a Dailey & Vincent night at that IBMA Awards and that Adam Steffey won your category. You were amongst the best and you will have many more opportunities I am quite sure. Keep me informed on new releases, information, etc. and I will do what I can. Also, I am putting up thekarylgladshow.spaces.live.com with my playlists. It is getting there. Stop by. My E-Mail is listed above and as I said, when you are interested in a live airing, I would be happy to host it. Hopefully, "Grazin' on Bluegrass" will be on soon. I will try to get a CD together for you of the August 9, 2008 show that aired. I am numbering shows with a "Hip" number. It was "Hip 1", I am a horse person and have been to Keeneland and around Kentucky. God Bless!

Hi Sierra!
This is twice today! I just saw that YOU DID WIN the "7th Annual French Country Music Award" for the "Best Blue Grass Band", at St. Agreve, France. I knew it was to be announced on the 27th, and I searched the internet for it on the 28th. I found nothing! I knew it would surface sooner or later. I am SO GLAD that You and Your Band won! Congrats! Tough competition, too!

Enjoyed your Bluegrass Festival at Byrdstown this year, even though I didn't get to see you perform. I worked up the courage to compete, though. I was number 84 in the guitar competition. I played my Sunburst Fender Malibu Acoustic guitar on the tunes "Big Sciota" and "Ookpik Waltz". I didn't place, but I'm looking forward to next year. Hope to see you perform there this time!
